Great post. I really like the idea of a common computer room being more social. I was once part of a design team which shared a small enough room so that we could play Doom in multi-player mode over the LAN during our lunch hour, and the thing I liked most about it was the social aspect of it.

As for how low we can go, although there is evidence here and there that semiconductor fabs are still short on capacity, as long as the NASDAQ downdraft continues, I expect AMAT and other members of the sector to participate. The big question in my mind is whether the strong business fundamentals in the semiconductor equipment industry will outlast the downdraft in the overall market. If they do not, look out below.
