YOu heard a different show than I have heard. I heard him say that every time interest rates are raised it will take 12 to 15 months for the effects to show up in EPS growth. Alan Greenspan has stopped the spiraling economic growth which was his intention. He did not say we are headed for a deep recession. He thinks the market will go down and end in a huge buying opportunity so he said he feels everyone should keep cash as King. That's different than a deep recession.

He didn't say that we are headed for a deep recession. In fact, he said that a soft landing for the economy could happen, but that may not be able to prevent a bear-market from happening.

I for one have absolutely no problems if the overvalued tech stocks that currently trade for 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 times revenues get clobbered!
