Dan Re..<<Harry, Feingold lives on Donna Drive. You live in Waunakee, or in the country?<<<

I live off of hwy 12 in the country. While I knew Feingold represented Middletons district in the House, I thought Russ started out representing Verona originally, and as he went for higher offices, he represented Middleton district in House of Rep. I really didn't follow him well as he is a dem. and I normally vote republican. I did vote for Russ for Senate as I felt his "no soft money stance" was noteworthy, and he tried his best to follow his principles. He seem to be one of the few honest politicians out there, and if he doesn't lose, could become another Bill Proxmire.

As far as Al championing finance reform, I consider that as another of his wild-eye promises that will be forgotten the day after the election. Bill and Al have bought politics down to a new low with their campaign shenanigans. Now Al claiming he will clean up the mess he played a big part in defies credibility. You have to remember that Al only claimed to be for campaign reform after he saw how well McCain did in the primaries. Both parties use soft money equally, so it will take both parties to stop it;plus it will take a leader with credibility and backbone; both Al and GW have neither. I have no confidence that soft money will be eliminated until enough people get disgusted; then when it will cost them their jobs, you can bet that both parties will fall all over themselves to denounce soft money. Vote for McCain 2004.
