I know that when I have told stories, there
are times when I embellish them...not unlike the fisherman with the fish. I never thought of it as a major character flaw.....but maybe I am in denial.

If Al Gore tells stories about the big fish that got away (or that he caught when you weren't there) its probably not too big of deal. If they are outright lies (rather then just exagerations) about unimportant subjects that would be worse. What he has actually done though is tell lies about subjects that are important in this presidential race. This would concern me if I was thinking about voteing for Gore. He has also made up many outright lies about less important issues. What's odd about many of those lies is that having people believe him wouldn't help him, and they are easy to check. The fact that he keeps doing this seems to point to some sort of weakness is judgement or self-control.
