It goes like this, KNC. Bush had a nice converntion and took the lead in the pools; Gore had a nice convention and took the lead in the pools. Bush had a nice recovery but didn't quite take the lead in the polls. They both had a good debate and Gore got a stronger lead in the polls. Bush went negative on the embellisment issue and took the lead or got even in the polls. Now Gore is responding to Bush's embellishment negativity by casting Bush's record as governor, in a clearer eye, before the people. It's my bet Gore will soon have the lead in the polls.

Ultimately, I think they'll be a cave-in effect where many Americans who've been thusfar sleepy in this election season, will wake up and join the Gore side as an Anybody-But-Bush vote. Gore will win the election both on the weakness of the Bush candidacy, and also on the strength of the economy.
