Good question Greg. I'm a little less into LTBH now than I was. I'm more diversified now than I was -- I think I'll keep that part. Probably will be more apt to take some profits in the future when a PE has expanded into the stratosphere. I've been repositioning into lower PE/high growth stocks with an eye toward LTBH -- we'll see how it plays out in reality.

Still LTB&H. To take the approach that I'm not going to no longer be LTB&H just because of what has happened for the last 7 months would imply that my perspective was not LTB&H in the first place.

It was the timing of my latest round of buy-and-hold purchases that could not have been worse (well it probably could have). I've been hammered in telecom services (my primary area of investing).

Greg, for myself the LTB&H stocks are just that LT, so aint gonna sell'em unless the story/fundamentals of the company drastically changes. I have a trading acct and IRA acct and a leave it alone account/LTBH. That's mah tale and ahm sittin on it. LOL, best regards, Depy

Hi Greg,

My decision to become mostly a LTB&H investor late last year was a huge mistake. I still believe that over time LTB&H will create the most wealth, but until the volatility returns to more normal levels, it will remain a traders & stock pickers market. For the time being, I will short term trade & be selective in my stocks.

I don't like the idea of buy and hold anymore at all. I feel much $ is lost that way. I'm more and more wanting to operate as a trader from a cash position, AND accumulate calls the way RR does, for selling after a momentum run, 4-6 months out for protection.

changed their thinking on LTB&H.

Sorry for the tardy reply. I've been gone for several hours.

IMO during a secular bull market, LTB&H (in the right companies) is a winning strategy. Since I believe we're still in a secular bull market (just a bear correction phase), I'm not only maintaining the LTB&H portion of my portfolio, but adding to it.

Now to find those "right companies".<gg>
