A Bottom Maybe In Sight
By: Kevin O'Grady
It looks like the market could finally be putting in a bottom. According to analysts the NASDAQ is severely oversold and has strong support around 3100. Yesterday it bounced around 3185, but the bounce came amid low volume so it wasn't conclusive. But with investors all back today from the long Yom Kippur and Columbus Day weekend, a retest of that support level would be a positive sign. Yahoo is kicking off the earnings season after the closing bell and if investors like what they see it could provide the catalyst for a rebound. But investors would feel more confident and the rally would be more sustainable if they believe strong support is in place.
