INTC--Intel to Build Microchip Plant in Egypt

CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt's cabinet on Tuesday granted U.S. high-tech company Intel Corp (NasdaqNM:INTC - news) approval to construct a microchip production plant in Egypt, it said in a statement.

The project, presented by Intel to the Egyptian government, would inject $500 million of investment and provide about 3,000 jobs, the statement said.

The cabinet also agreed to allocate land for the project, it added.

I got home ten minutes ago and thot about buying some brcm calls to flip when it recovers (probably tomorrow) but the market just stinks and I just don't wanna! <g>

Dealie, at this point, I'll believe in palmistry or other similar techniques. They certainly couldn't be any less accurate than the $25MM analysts on the Street.
