Why don't you think fear is required? What else is going to cause panic selling? It has to be fear?

IMO, fear is developing, but very slow. The clowns aren't worried because it's only been a few months and they're used to this. Over time, that will change.

There could be multiple flush outs also, it doesn't have to be just one day.

Yes, the ramps *aren't* sticking, and the Spoos are really starting to contribute to the party.

Take a look at LEH, JPM. What those two tell me is that the belief that inflation has been licked is now in doubt. In retrospect, the bidding up of the interest rate sensitive stocks will be one HUGE mistake.

that's the one thing we can't possibly gauge accurately...at what point the numerous leveraged carry trade based positions blow up...it sure looks as though some degree of distress selling has already entered into the picture.
