I think the questions he raises are important enough they demand answers...let us pray Mr. Helprin is wrong....but don't count on it....The Opinion Journal is a Wall Street Journal online venture....and wish I could say the WSJ is always wrong....but don't believe that is the case...Would be interesting to do some research on that....many libraries have old copies of the WSJ on microfilm....the paths to events would be fairly easy to trace.... But in the meantime, maybe our elected officials can give us some unclassified information...
