Ken, I bet dollars to doughnuts most Americans don't know what those API numbers mean. The short and simple and accurate answer is - energy crises. Let me explain why:

1. OPEC has been pumping at near capacity for over 5 months now, and we are getting draws on crude?
2. We are in a brief period when crude and gasoline stocks build, not only are they not building - they are declining.
3. The US completely missed the normal heating oil build season and heating oil stocks are now some 50% below last years levels going into winter.
4. Combined stocks are some 20% below the five year average.

Add it up.
