I think W will hit the oil issue tmw night.

Re the SPR story...yesterday I sent it through a personal route that would get it to Bush. My contact reported back that as soon as it arrived 'at Bush HQ', the campaign guys contacted 'the press' and found out that ABC would be airing the story either last night (which they did) or tonight (which they may do more).

So we can be sure that Bush is well aware of the situation and will have to see if he is able to use the info tmw night.

By the way, the early report this week is that offshore utilization will be up 1-3 rigs this week. Also, the malarky that has been spreading about day rates going down is nothing but malarky. Day rates are shooting higher for shallow water jackups that are coming to new contracts...in some cases they are doubling from the previous levels. DO is getting some nice increases.
