Are you confusing the common stock with the assets? You say the company may survive at the expense of the common shareholders. The common shareholders ARE the company.

If the company survives, the shareholders continue to own the assets.

No momo mojo mysticism please.

What you probably meant to write is that the system would survive, unlike Iridium, but the system would be taken over by somebody other than the current shareholders.
