I belive Ashok Kumar said the inventory number is something like 2 or 2.5Mu couple of weeks back when Intel preannounced.

People seem to have different estimates of how much inventory a 5% revenue miss means.

Personally I think this is overblown. 2-3Mu inventory is peanuts for Intel (a week's worth of shipments)

Intel would be crazy to go with the current run rates given the product competitiveness of PIII/Celeron. Price war under current conditions hurts Intel more than AMD. And Intel probably knows enough about Jerry to not make such a move.

If Intel moves fast, it can do a lot of chipset and flash wafer starts to suck-up the capacity.
