Re: "Study the dates. Bush only responded once he knew he was running for president. For the past seven years he did nothing. Seven years of unregulated pollution takes many years to begin cleaning up."

Haha, hoho! This is getting so funny it brings tears to my eyes.

Who's been in the federal executive office for the past seven years (nearly eight, but who's counting) and done ZERO to fix medicare, social security, education, Hollywood's intentional test marketing of violence and sex to 9-year olds, the environment, etc., etc., etc. GORE, that's who. The guy who's been at the seat of power, at the helm, reinventing government, and he's done almost ZILCH, except to break every campaign fundraising law there is in his quest for power.

And now all of a sudden, after he's the nominee, he's got solutions for everything? This is getting ludicrous. Where's Gore been all these years? He even had a democrat congress for a few of those years, when he could have gotten whatever he wanted!

Gore's running as if he's trying to oust the incumbent, WHEN HE IS THE INCUMBENT! Even if your argument about Bush being late were true, at least Bush did SOMETHING at the state level, and has been praised for it by democrats and environmentalists alike. Gore still has done ZIP -- except to invent the internet, of course.
