Silent Short Selling could be another explanation.
One theory was that these inexpensive (cheap) shares
were put into the market so "friends" could cover
quickly and easily. Big blocks shorted some time ago
at $50 + would have made enough to go long on MUCH bigger
blocks now. Anyone have access to recent short interest
changes for G?

Much thanks for your response. Have gotten bloodied on floorless convertibles in the past! Although this deal is not exactly a floorless, it had similar characteristics and so raised questions and a red flag! Again thank you for the response!
