He wanted to point out to me that; as stated in todays news releases BEA and STF went to third parties to finance their portions of the private placements. Thus the treasury does have the full cash value of the shares issued and we have no immediate cash problems. This is in contrast to my erroneous assumption that the companies had merely exchanged paper. He also wanted to point out that his earlier loan from the company was an interest bearing loan and not a free ride as a poster over at stockhouse implied. He is quite thrilled with the Startech results and what they imply for our drilling. His only major worry was the probability of unwelcome takeover bids, at a much too low valuation. He thinks that with the recent participation of both companies in the financing that such a premature takeover effort could be resisted better. Also it seems to me that we have a poison pill remedy in place. Will have to go back and check. Over the years I have spoken to Jack many times and he has been upbeat, tired, confident, frustrated, positive, weary optimistic, angry etc..., but I have to tell you, today he sounded like a man whose goal is at last within his grasp. He was rushing to catch a plane back to Calgary and to tell the truth I don't think he needed that plane to fly back!!! Later Keith PS Now that I think about it you have to hope that we do make it just for Jack's sake. He has single handedly stayed the course with fierce conviction and steady determination. He could have granted himself lucrative stock options like the dot.com kings but didn't. Instead; once again he has dug into his own resources to further the battle. A few years ago there was a lot of chatter about a party to celebrate successful wells and a hoped for meteoric rise in share prices, perhaps an idea whose time is about to come and I'd like to buy Jack the first beer.
