LimmMan, I hope you are right
massive retail selling at the open will be capitulatory
then we head onward and upward
afterhours futures are rarely indicative of next day

I predict Intel will see a reco buy in the next couple days
on valuation basis
funds are selling, and houses are buying

Volt, I do NOT believe the Houses coordinate anything like you do
sure, strong relationships exist among individuals
they compete against each other for IPO's, for retail accounts, for junk bonds, and on Inhouse treasury account performance (including all commodity futures)

/ Jim

We are going to see the biggest drop in history. That may be scary but lets face it who is going to stay in anything after the market
opens? The selling will be on a scale never before seen.

Great. I didn't realize that Kreskin was on SI. Your "sky is falling" posts are really annoying. And why will tomorrow be so horrendous? Because of Lucent? Yahoo posted decent earnings and revenues, Motorola made it's number. The news is mixed from what I can see. And Lucent, a poorly managed and ailing company, is warning that they haven't turned anything around yet. Looks to me like another short term market overreaction followed by a recovery when the prices get low enough.

I've seen times like these, and they don't last (just as the bull runs don't last). Take your arguments to the armageddon thread.

I'll lay it all on the line. I am not saying we finish up tomorrow but I bet you we are close to today.

See me here tomorrow night.

I bet no limit down in the NAZ futures in the a.m. Care to take me up on that?

Let's put hindsight behind us tonight, or shall we just talk?
