>>>THIS IS THE TIME FOR A DRINK.

I'll second that!

on second thought ... already did!

..... question ..... ???

HOW MANY MORE DOWN DAYS ARE YET TO COME

When are rally's not going to be met by selling
I bot CORV at 47 yesterday ...
it ran to 64
it close today at 60
and after hours is at 55
I wanted to hold it ... not take a buck or two ... but now must put a stop loss on that too ... just to PREVENT equity loss

it is sad thing to see the good ones try to rebound ... only to met with more and more selling

Larry, good thoughts in your CAP words

today is the first day that there is real fear in the air
this was way overdue and the only bad part is that it comes after a steady slow drip to low levels
would have been a lot better 500 points higher

the normal view would be to buy this panic but I'm not convinced the first pop up from the low will be for real
this time we may need to see two or three tests to reach a true bottom

I'm not sure at this moment how I will play today
over the past few weeks I legged into some great companies but in clear hindsight went in too early
my hold account is only 18% cash this morning and while still up 4.7% YTD (based on after hours lower prices) it is down significantly from 4-6 weeks ago
my plan may be to further cull some positions that look less good today than they did a few weeks back and which may turn back up slower than others

my day trading account is 100% cash and is still up triple digits for the year
but I did not hit the short side anywhere near the levels that this dump should have given; there were a ton of fantastic trades that I blew by covering too early
at the moment my gut is that "easy" shorting may be over for a while and intra-day longs will be the way to go

I spent a few hours last night and this morning going over all of my positions and prospects to make as sure as I can that the focus will be on the "right" ones for the next few days
I'd suggest everyone do that exercise
then proceed with some degree of caution

good luck to everyone
