Not sure what you are not aware of. In 1969 my one way
ticket from Boston to Australia when the price of oil was
dirt cheap was $2,000 and I will guess that money after
30 years of inflation is over $5,000 today, and I think I can
buy that ticket today for $1,000 with higher oil. No sure
but I think back then a barrel of oil factored in inflaction
was still in the lowest of low price times.

Anyone got a chart that shows the price of crude oil over
the last 20 -50 years that has inflation factored in so that
something called real purchaning power is seened.

Once upon a time for me min wage was under a buck,
and those who made $5/hr were doctors...
