John, I wanted to mention that Peter E has a live chat at Avid Trader tonight. After the transcript is posted, I will I will link it here for you. I am still tracking that Dow 1966-1982 similarity. It's pure speculation, but what isn't these days. Here is the last leg down before the 82 breakout (weekly). www2.marketwatch.com There are similarities. I can see how it put in a really good bottom with an ending diagonal and that is what we seem to be working on now. Only time will tell. Lots of cycle folks are targeting the 18th and the 23rd as key dates. The 23rd is a Bradley date..not sure about the 18th. Also, we are in a two year cycle low right now. Octobers sure do live up to their reputation. We will have to see if this one is a buying opportunity, though. Talk to you soon. Susan
