Altera Armed 1st Excalibur in silicon Altera's new Excalibur™ embedded processor solutions are in first phase Armed. In Excalibur - architecture Altera integrates APEX-serie FPGA-chip ARM and MIPS cores. The sources say (Finish semiconductor business -press 'Prosessori' ) that first in silicon will be Armed series. First in silicon will be APEX 20 KE -FPGA, which has ARM922-as integrated core. This silicons will be fabricated by TSMC, Taiwan fabs. Endusers will be like Csco's and alikes.
