<<But who would Ish complain to if it wasn't to us? His fishing buddies probably don't want to listen.>>

Now how do you think old farts pass the time between bites? Or sitting in the coffee shop?

His fishing buddies probably don't want to listen.

Maybe, maybe not. Once when my grandfather, my brothers
and I returned from a fishing trip, my mother asked how
many fish we caught and my grandfather answered, "None,
but it was the outing that was important."

I realize I am on this devil box way too much.

Maybe if we labelled out SI time as "our passion", it
would be deemed okay ... seems to work for other more
generally accepted activities. SI certainly expands
our interaction with others, and perhaps it can be
even more interesting and stimulating than some of our
3D relationships. And it can be a positive distraction
on days when our portfolios are evaporating. But somehow
for me it can't totally take the place of face-to-face
socializing for keeping a fairly positive mental outlook.
