Wallflowers' Dylan Shedding
Concerns About Being Bob's Son
dailynews.yahoo.com

(10/18/00, 10 a.m. ET) - With the release of the
Wallflowers' third album, Breach, comes the inevitable
talk about frontman Jakob Dylan being the son of one
the greatest songwriters of the 20th century, Bob
Dylan. Jakob tells LAUNCH that in his younger days he used to worry about
lyrical comparisons to his father, but nowadays it's of little concern.

"I just wrote what was on my mind, and if people want to make comparisons,
go right ahead," he says. "It doesn't really affect what I'm doing any more at
this point, you know? I think if you want to look for it, you can find
connections between him and the Ramones. I mean, if you want to dig deep,
you'll find him with anybody. Everybody's affected by it. So I've kinda stopped
really caring about it." Dylan adds, "I don't know what people are looking for
anyway."

Breach arrived in stores last week. It features the single "Sleepwalker."
