mr mark, the Inspiron 5000e is fine. I have 64MB DRAM and expect delivery of another 128 MB from crucial.com today.
They have a free Fedex overnight delivery deal this week.

Norton is installed. It came with NAV installed and I removed that before installing NU. On the first pass of
Norton Windoctor it found 60 problems, most activeX.
It came with 1 year prepaid AOL, installed and on CD.
I won't use it.

After installing MSN IE I added free Juno yesterday.
Suddenly MSN could connect but not go anywhere and Juno cold not even connect.
Rebooting fixed that.

Speakers are not very good, but music sounds great with
ear phones.

I'm still amazed they can cram all this stuff into such a small package. Also, the Dell software does NOT pop up
constantly to ask me to do something [like look at their
web site etc]. I appreciate that.
