NOW I believe the P4 won't have good performance clock for clock.

What makes you say that? You mean you don't believe Intel's statements that PC makers did not want it and they wanted to focus on the P4 rather than the PIII?

;)

TG

P.S. Holy crap! Q2 NEXT YEAR!! Yee Gods!! What will Intel do till then? P4 on dual channel Rambus in the mainstream market? I don't think so. Not with the top 3 DRAM makers in a lawsuit with the chief RDRAM devil. Intel is R-O-Y-A-L-L-Y SCREWED!

Cirruslvr:

"1.13GHz PIII DELAYED until NEXT YEAR!"

Wonder how much more AMD'll get punished today for causing such an INTC headache...The punishment currently being meted out is misplaced...but not for much longer, now!!! The evidence is just too overwhelming that AMD has done nothing to support the $20 price penalty attached to its price for the woes being experienced by others...

Cirruslvr,

<NOW I believe the P4 won't have good performance clock for clock.>

Why? Intel can't yield 1.13G PIIIs so the company delays it until such a part can yield. The P4 performance is going to be not good but that to me has nothing to do with this decision. I see this as a Barrett "clean-house" move.

<What is Dell going to offer above 1GHz this year? P4 will only be available for one month. >

I am constantly amazed by how dumb Dell has acted throughout this last year.
