Hey, i wonder if Sagawa finally downgraded lucent today. Maybe he took it from a strong buy to just a buy. What a crock.

However, I can understand the analysts not downgrading when it was in the 30s, but shouldn't they be doing some hw and trying to determine how good lu's sales are and not be spoon fed by management?

No $H!*... me too. I'm a little freaking tweaked at McGinn and his cronies. For two reasons. One for being a bunch of boneheads - warning two times in a quarter - sheesh. And two, for siting areas of critical importance to the stabilization of the entire sector as the excuse. C'mon - LU failed to execute - it has nothing to do with optical business as a whole or bad debt. LU didn't execute in optics and to make up for shortfalls the made loans to suspect companies... now they blame their miss on the optical market??? Duh! Or bad debts??? Jerks!!!!!!

RE "I might be a buyer in the $12 range"
Yup, somewhere between $10 and $15, LU may finally
hit bottom. That would be a good long term price IF
they can manage a turnaround.
