Normal appeals limit is 30 pages. Microsoft got 150 pages. You get the idea, appeals court is very fair and understands Microsoft's point that accuracy is more important than speed

Everyone knows that the whole thing was funded by ORCL (garbage mess) and SUNW (Project Sherman).

Paybacks can be a humbling experience Johnd, they will feel the 'Pinch' where it hurts most.

<<Microsoft has won again as Appeals court gave oral hearing time frame under a new govt.>>

Your right john, MSFT has won again, again, and again. This decision was sure a big blow to the governments case. I would not be suprised if they decide to withdraw their complaint.

Lastly, even if MSFT wins the court battle, they have already lost the war. MSFT is not an internet company and the OS does not lend itself to take advantage of the internet. Please refer to Mr. Rick Sherlunds comments. He was very forthright. From what I can tell, MSFT is the next IBM.

Your friend, Bob.

johnd--The appellate court set the timetable between the two requests. How do you see this as a win for anyone? BTW, how often is the new Attorney General sworn in before Feb 26th in each new administration? And how often does the new Attorney General choose a new Antitrust Chief who is sworn in by Feb 26th? Don't read too much into the timetable.
