Dave - RE: "Change my mind, please!"

I'll let your brain wrestle this one. ;)

I'm confused also. In AMD's three reiterations this Q, they included the 7.2M Q4 number. And of course now we hear stuff from OTHER people guiding that number down. Most my money isn't in AMD and I'm not a gambler so I'm just gonna wait for the CC.

Dave, <7.2M is not that many chips in comparison with Intel. They have done no support to boost demand vs Intel. If they drop it to 5.5M, they will lose market share in Q4 and AMD will likely crash further.>

you are buying the analysts wag hook, line and sinker, they don't know any more than you or I, anything under 7M is just their dreamed up numbers with no analysis, you might as well ask a 3-year old.

Dave,

If they drop it to 5.5M, they will lose market share in Q4

Ask yourself with ALL your knowledge about AMD's and Intel's product pipeline and the relative merits of each (your presence here indicates that you are better informed or less crack-addled than 95% of all analysts), do you see anything that would convince you that AMD's market share should drop in Q4?
