Just about every CEO around thinks that the market over-reacts when they release negative information.

Usually (not always, but usually), the market is right and the CEO is wrong.

Apparently not.

Intel has aprox 2M PIII's inventory overhang at end of quarter per several brokerage reports.

There is talk of AMD reducing its 9M unit forecast for Q4.

All this is bad news for both companies.
