well, sunshine, why did Mr. Buffett buy silver ?

and, sunshine, why did Mr. Gates buy into Pan American Silver ?

<<<<<That makes the company dotcommish because who is to say we don't go into a period of inflating Mexican wages and material prices, flat and declining silver prices due to strong dollar among other things, new laws concerning land use and management from a previously indifferent Mexican government, and the eventual payoff somewhere maybe out in the future. Thus, this is dead money unless silver price advances. Besides, if the price of silver advances who is to say that the Mexican government won't find a way to tax foreign profits?

re the above : then royalty plays might be the best bet, such as franco nevada.

ps : the inco/voisey bay shares did not go to zero, although the property is not currently being mined. if there is stuff in the ground...

Of course you haven't done your homework again. It is like the US debt owned by foreigners.. you didn't take the time to check. BAY has a NAV of $3.75 per share with silver prices of US$4.00. At silver US$5.00, the payback period is 1 year and return on investment is near 60%.

As for the rest of your comment on what can happen in Mexico.. We can't be sure. But the Sonora state has jurisdiction over mining activities and they have been pro-mining forever. There is no reason this will change.
They need the jobs.

As for your opinion on silver. Simply check on a regular basis the fabrication demand numbers and the new industrial applications that uses silver. You will realize that again, you are wrong.

Why do you loose your precious time trying to educate poor retarded peons like (some of?) us on this thread. I am convinced that your comments would be much better appreciated (and understood of course)on a thread dedicated only to american technology not sold outside of USA, read only by non socialist americans, but living outside of East LA. You would obviously be happier and so would we..

<Who cares about some metal in the ground? How does that create future value regardless of the price of silver? >

That's about the dumbest statement I've ever heard...

FWIW the price of silver as quoted in AtHome stock certificates has been absolutely soaring of late.
