On the subject of Sandisk investment in fabs, I recall they posted an exceptional gain from the appreciation in their UMC stock. Am I right in thinking they accounted for this gain before actually selling their stake, and as such, if that investment has gone down in the recent market slump, they should now be recording an exceptional loss?

Thanks mark....art, from the link supplied in earlier post(to lazy today to look thru edgar) i saw there was a direct investment by SNDK into TSEM. Now i feel a little better informed. Thanks for your input. .......p.s. still on the fence
