If I can interject my view, there will be plenty of areas of the Internet that will do well, extremely well, pornography for instance.

The problem is that there will be a handful of long term winners but the market has already made them all winners. These have been bought and paid for, and the payback is the ride down. As you find out one by one that these winners are losers, they will be losing 99% of their value over time as the dipsters keep buying because the internet is GOOD and BIG and COOL.

There's also rule somewhere that the average person can't put his $1 into the market and come out with $3 in a few weeks or months. This only works if stocks are going up, all of them because the average person can't understand fundamentals and/or doesn't want to so he will buy anything in a hot sector or w/ a name he hears on TV. Just because this was the case for the last few years doesn't mean it can continue. Meantime, the sell side and insitutions were happy to play this game for a while, but now what? Flush and drain...
