I would suggest that the chip division has significant long-term potential, and shareholders would do much better owning the company.

Further, if Q sold the division, what would they do with the cash? [they already have paid off all debt].

I'm sure glad Q spun out LWIN as opposed to an outright sell. Most here would agree that LWIN has done much better then anyone expected when it was first spun out (it wasn't that long ago LWIN was trading under $2). IMHO, SpinCo is a one of a kind "Crown Jewel". Let the suitors continue to try and duplicate the jewel and when they can't we'll see what the Q jewel is worth!
