OT - Well, I sold my tech longs during the day and bought some back at close. As per my previous post, I think the market wanted MOT out of the way ... and perhaps knew about LU as the networkers were trading badly. Another wild card was the possible junk bond write-offs ... but perhaps that picture is now a lot clearer. There has been quite a lot of distribution recently ... but the last 3 days some buyers have been appearing. Warnings apart, earnings look quite good so far ... LU & MOT can't escape poor management & execution ... so I'm happy to regard that as company specific at this time. All in all ... tech is way oversold and will bounce hard once the short covering begins. Crash or bounce ???. For now I'll go with the latter I think. Bull or bear ???. They both have a good case .. though I'm amazed at the way the market has let the air out of many of the bubble stocks without crashing. Personally, I'm more scared yet optimistic about the markets than I have been for a while ... and whilst much of the liquidity is leveraged, I see the balance about to shift back to the buy side.

Course ... I could be wrong ... GG
