I couldn't have said it better myself.

Cisco is my core long term hold, 7 years ago, today and for the next 3 to 5 years barring a break-down in the companies management.

IMO, valuation should also be part of the analysis.

If a stock is 'priced for perfection', then it should be sold. CSCO earlier this year was priced beyond perfection.
