OY! Ok, maybe I'm in denial about the presidential process in general. (g) Nixon/McGovern was my first election also.

In some ways, I want Gore to win so that when this mess implodes the Dems will be in office.

Those two elections were during times of stress in this country. No so now. If we did have problems now similar to those during the elections you mentioned, I suspect both Gore and Bush would look MUCH worse than they do now. We'd be paying more attention to them and realizing how much of a clown each is.

Nixon was a crook but smart. Carter was smart but naive. This year we have two morons.
