regarding multiple computers.

I have three computers connected together and one of them is the gateway to the internet using a cable modem.

The computer that is the gateway needs 2 network cards. One to the cable modem and one to the in-home system. There is no additional cost beyond internet cable subscription. You can have multiple e-mail address (for family members) at no extra charge. My service is from AT&T@Home. Costs $40/month.

Microsoft includes Internet Connection Sharing software with Windows 98. Or you can buy a package for $50 (one-time) from someone else.

The installation is tricky. It took me all day first time to play with various combinations till it worked. The cable company will make your primary computer work, but will not connect the others. It is not easy, unless you know the basics (and a little more) of networking.

Good luck
