Start up capital may not have come from India. However, many people came here for higher education after mortgaging the entire families ancesteral properties. They have come with values and enterprenurial spirit they developed in India combined with enterpreneur friendly laws of US.
Now you will be seeing companies with start up capital from India. Infosys is one of them. Wipro is another. Many others are in IPO pipeline with offices and employees in USA. Anyway, no one is giving credit to India about the capital. However the credit is due to the fact that India invested heavily in technology based quality education and many are products of subsidized education. It is paying dividends to both India and US.
Let me give a controversial twist to what you said. White people who are probably 25% of world population control 75% or more of world economy. Under these circumstances, the purse strings are obviously controlled by non white countries. Hence some of the capital will come from other countries and they benefit much more as a result of hugely successful companies that Lizzie was talking about (BTW, she did not even touch the tip of the iceberg).
To soft pedal their efforts is an asinine attempt to short change their enterpreneurism that has gone on to make US a major IT force and kept it's edge in defence and space besides employing a substantial number of US Citizens.
BTW, GWB and Republican party is in favor of legal immigration and for expanding quotas to get in more H1 employees.

, you can bet the start-up capital did not come from India.

Wrong. And btw, how many hours a day do you spend on this website? Ever looked at the management team at INSP? (obviously not).

See, unless you have started a billion+ company yourself (read: contributed to the economy of the US) then you have no platform to stand on. Either get with the program, which currently is, import all the talented smart high tech workers from any third-world country we can get our hands on ~including india and china~ or get out (or at minimum, shut up!). In other words, lead or leave!
