I don't see much that the Chinese could do, in concrete terms, to influence that situation. They could talk in the UN,but they do that already, and it doesn't mean much.

I'm still QUITE WORRIED (and I think the market is as well) about the possibility that the Arabs may utilize the oil weapon again in order to get their way in reducing the power of Israel, if only to force the west to choose between the Jews and the Arabs.

I don't see this happening while the leaders of the Arab world are keeping the bulk of their shekels in US stocks. They're the last ones that are going to rock the boat. If the Saudis fall to an internal revolution, we have a problem, but that's not something we're going to prevent with armies.
