No, I think that Bush made a mistake letting Darman talk him into the tax increase, and I think Clinton did well in keeping Greenspan on. But each situation has details. Clinton was thwarted in new spending initiatives, and in the nationalization of healthcare, for example. I think that his proposed stimulus efforts, and Clintoncare, would have been disasters. Therefore, if he had gotten his way, things would look very different, and, I think, far worse. On the other hand, Bush was reluctant to raise taxes, but the only way he could get a deal for some steps towards deficit reduction with the Democratic Congress was to agree to the hike, so it was, at least in part, forced on him. Not a double standard, different stories........

You are just a one man cheering section for the losing team.

Name one thing Clinton did for the economy Just one! I'll help.... he got out of the way of it. We have enjoyed a good economy not because of him but in spite of him.
