He's not against passing anti-hate crime laws, and neither am I. But passing laws that will take away from laws already on the books is wrong. That allows for loopholes and injustices to occur. There are enough laws on the books to cover anything and everything - go to any law library. Making more doesn't help the justice system, it just ties it up even more. It's popular to want to pass these laws, but in reality it hurts more than it helps. Bush even said it, those murderers got what they deserved.

Wrong, Bush had the best line of the night which went something like this..."The New Civil right, is the right to read".
