OFF TOPIC: Market sure looks weak. Fear can be cut with a knife. Small-time traders are bailing out of weak, unprotected position. I'm seeing it all over the place. The "contrarians" -- as they are now calling themselves -- are saying the Nasdaq will not bounce here cause everyone THINKS it will (i.e. not enough fear and capitulation). And that any future bounce will be very limited in scope (probably to the mid 3000s). The Nasdaq is vulnerable down to 2800, and possibly even down to 2000. But, the "contrarian" view is getting so much airplay on CNBC that I'm not so sure it can legitimately call itself "contrarian" any more. Seems more like the majority view to me. Even Joe Battapaglia is drastically adjusting his numbers downward. So, if THAT'S the case, I guess I should be taking an opinion contrary to the prevailing "contrarian" view. And that would be to get VERY long here cause we are about to have a huge rally. I'm not actually playing it this way, but if we DO rally past the 3600 region here, it may be quite telling imo.
