MDZR Wireless Router - Industry's First IP Based Wireless Device To Offer
OSPF and BGP-4 IP Protocol Support

Moby Dark To Begin Immediate Manufacturing Of MDZR Router With Major
Manufacturer

TORONTO, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - Galaxy OnLine Inc. (CDNX: YGO) and Moby Dark
Inc., a division of Galaxy OnLine Inc., announced today that The Tolly Group,
an independent testing and industry analysis organization, has certified the
IP Protocol performance of Moby Dark's MDZR Wireless IP Router. A Router is a
device that can connect individual Local Area networks to one another over
dedicated or switched lines to create Wide Area Networks. The router reads
addresses and forwards messages to the appropriate destination, applying
intelligence to the route selections. By operating wirelessly the MDZR speeds
deployment and cuts the costs associated with traditional wireline
infrastructure.
The MDZR Wireless Router is the Industry's first IP based wireless device
to offer multi-vendor and multi-frequency support within a fully meshed WAN
Router architecture. In recent tests, the MDZR Wireless Router proved
interoperability with the three different IP protocols: RIP v.2 (Routing
Information Protocol version 2), OSPF v.2 (Open Shortest Path First version 2)
and BGP v.4 (Border Gateway Protocol version 4), routing protocols commonly
used in and between Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
The testing validated the designed capabilities of the router, created a
new functional plateau for all routing appliances, and positioned the MDZR
router as the "first of its kind". Access the preliminary results report on
the MDZR router from The Tolly Group website at
www.tolly.com/Archives/Onepage/MobyDark.pdf.
"These tests prove the unique features of the MDZR Wireless Router, most
of which are not available in any other wireless IP products," commented Marc
Hurst, President and Chief Operating Officer of Moby Dark Inc. He added, "This
verification of the MDZR performance proves the product is more than capable
of performing in any wireless, or wireline Enterprise network environment".
Moby Dark has selected a well established Canadian computer systems
integrator, Tracan Electronics Corporation, to manage the manufacturing and
packaging of the MDZR Wireless Router. Since its inception in 1974, Toronto
based Tracan, has integrated and supported specialized computer systems and
products made by innovative manufacturers of computer technology around the
world. In addition to the Toronto headquarters, Tracan's branch network covers
Montreal, Ottawa, Hamilton, Calgary and Vancouver. Their prestigious customer
list includes: Nortel, Mitel, Telesat Canada, Norsat, Miranda, and other
leading edge technology partners.
In addition, Galaxy OnLine Inc.'s Public Relations firm, Hill and
Knowlton/iContact will be assisting in marketing and introducing the router to
the Enterprise, ISP and carrier markets.
Moby Dark plans to begin commercialization of the MDZR Wireless Router by
the end of October 2000.

Hi El,

I mean that UTP cabling's highest value will be in powering wireless nodes, rather than LAN communications.

I agree with ahhaha's pronouncement "Nothing beats the physics of the waveguide", for fixed access.

elmatador- Finally! I think you have found in Peter maybe someone that agrees with your ultimate thesis about the death of DSL.<g> I will stay tuned for more of your postings.

A very interesting idea Peter has brought up. -MikeM(From Florida)
