Suma,
IMHO now is not the time to sell. I'm also underwater at this point. This has more to do with macro issues then specific company issues.

A dog???? Try owning Dell.
Sure, CPQ is down, but it is down pretty much in line with the general market and the industry in general. The first would be expected, the second is probably questionable - in terms of whether they should be lumped in w/Dell.
AMD showed that NOT ALL companies are suffering. In fact, much of the softness at the larger profile firms is a direct result of strength at lesser known rivals.
CPQ bucks this trend in that they are higher profile, but are winning back their business, AND performing well in other strong markets.

At this point in a business cycle, we should consider ourselves lucky that the hit hasn't been worse. The economy remains strong. If a recession had hit by now, we'd all be jumping out windows.....

Hi Suma,

Hang in there. The good earnings news in the tech industry last night will provide some support, but, in my honest opinion, the volatility will remain until the big, tech blue chips report. But, barring any external market events, the techs should rebound after those earnings are out and their aren't any bad surprises or negative forward looking statements.

Good luck,

NR
