I agree Kirk, the Nas should be down triple digits on today's news. Gold is up, but only one or two percent. Negligible. If gold spikes over $300, then we have a situation. Shorts could be forced to cover and the move could be spectacular before it's over. But right now things are still hanging loose.

I think a respite cannot be ruled out, especially as we enter the favorable November-April season... But then "favorable" in this context might also mean that we lose "only" 10% as opposed to 40% during the "unfavorable" May-October period.
