Lynn,
Locked our price in at $1.19 this summer for 800 gallons, and already paid for it. If the price goes down, we get the lower price. Your oil guys are buying at spot prices at the refinery and delivering. It sounds like they are basically just fuel trucking operations with no storage facilities. That continues to amaze me. Our guy hedges in the futures market. But they are a big operation and the drivers are trained to install and service furnaces and AC in the off season. It is a sophisticated operation and the people are real nice.

Lynn, >Off to read the news-

Read it here (on the Internet). Our local paper, the San Jose Mercury News, has a delivery persons strike going on. I much prefer the net, but can't convince my wife to cancel the paper. I suppose I'd change my mind if she agreed because there is something to holding the paper and reading, easier to read over breakfast, etc.

Used the heat 2 days only this fall, supposed to get back to the 70s by the weekend. Stay warm in N.E.
