Compaq says confident of strong second half growth
HOUSTON, Oct 12 (Reuters) - Compaq Computer Corp. (NYSE:CPQ - news) remains confident it will have strong double digit revenue growth in the second half, Chairman and Chief Executive Michael Capellas said Thursday.

Speaking to employees at a ceremony marking the retirement of former chairman Ben Rosen, Capellas said: ``In Q2 we started to grow revenues again at 8 percent, in constant currency it was 11 (percent). I told the marketplace, all the analysts, that we would do strong double digit growth the rest of the year and I have every confidence that that growth is going to be in place.''
