It is not up to the oil companies to prepare for a crisis in the middle east. It was not the domestic oil companies that addicted the nation to cheap foreign imports.

You should thank God everyday that there is still an oil industry in North America.

As far as golf goes I would not know, polo is my game.

Actually, what has been happening the last few years is that a consortium of oil companies has been trying to organize exploration in and around the Caspian, and trying to work out pipeline and shipping issues. The reserves in the Central Asian republics are likely greater than those in the Middle East, and would decrease the salience of the Middle East to the industrialized world. The main thing is, we have lots of oil still.......
