Hmmm. Reads to me like the spin-off is a go, but IPO may not happen. Interesting. Perhaps somebody will buy it before the spin-off happens? I'm not sure what else they could do for QCOM shareholders without IPO'ing it.

sam, seems to me that Spinco small IPO would be worth a lot more with Chinese contracts in hand.

Saw somewhere talk of 70 Mln chinese subs by 2004. That would do a lot for forward revenue earnings projections.

I can wait for more favorable conditions.
